The programme

Geely Group Motorsport and Cyan Racing formed Lotus Cyan Racing ahead of the 2018 season and will field Prince Carl Philip, Thed Björk and Richard Göransson in a Lotus Evora GT4 in the endurance championship Swedish GT.

The drivers

Prince Carl Philip continues to race for the same team that he joined in 2012, and for which he has claimed several race wins and a runner-up spot in the 2017 Swedish GT season. Reigning touring car world champion Thed Björk and five-time Scandinavian touring car champion Richard Göransson will take turns throughout the season as co-drivers to Prince Carl Philip.

The team

Founded in 1996 and today known as Cyan Racing, the privately owned and operated company has been appointed Geely Group Motorsport’s official motorsport partner. Cyan Racing has previously been official motorsport partner to Volvo Cars and Polestar since its conception in 1996 and has claimed multiple titles, most recently the 2017 FIA World Touring Car Championship titles for driver and team.

Geely Group Motorsport handles strategic alignment on motorsport activities for the brands within Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH) and was formed in 2018 with headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, and Hangzhou, China.

The championship

The Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, STCC, was founded in 1996 and is the biggest touring car racing championship in northern Europe and hosts the GT class Swedish GT. The championship takes place in Sweden and features exciting GT race cars from Lotus, Porsche, Mercedes AMG and more. The race weekends feature two races with mandatory pit stops and driver changes.
