Team MA:GP with driver and owner Mattias Andersson has bought a Lynk & Co 03 TCR from Geely Group Motorsport to race in the 2021 STCC TCR Scandinavia season, starting a record-breaking 21st season in the championship.
"I am thrilled to start a new chapter in the STCC with a very special car," said Mattias Andersson.
"I've seen the success of the car in the WTCR and TCR China, making our decision a no-brainer. I am very excited to see what we can achieve with it in Scandinavia."
The Swede made his STCC debut in 2001 and has raced through four different regulations: Super Touring, S2000, TTA and now TCR

"There is no other driver with more experience of the STCC than Mattias and we will follow his progress closely."
The STCC programme of Mattias Andersson becomes the third customer racing programme with the Lynk & Co 03 TCR race cars of Geely Group Motorsport alongside those of Cyan Racing (WTCR) and Teamwork Motorsport (TCR China).
"This is an important step in the development of our customer racing programme, being able to benchmark the performance of the race car in a strong European national championship such as the STCC with an experienced driver like Mattias Andersson," said Ron Hartvelt, Customer Sport Director of Geely Group Motorsport.

Andersson finished sixth overall in the STCC last year with two podium finishes.
"My motivation is as strong as ever and we have fought very hard to get everything together for my 21st season, we have strong support from both old and new partners," said Mattias Andersson.
"I finished sixth overall last year and my goal for 2021 is to take at least three steps up the finishing order."
The 2021 STCC TCR Scandinavia season is scheduled to start on June 4-5 at Ljungbyhed Park with a total of six race weekends until October.
The Lynk & Co 03 TCR claimed the drivers' and teams' titles of the 2020 FIA World Touring Car Cup in the hands of Cyan Racing and the 2020 TCR China drivers' title with Teamwork Motorsport.
